BACP Senior Acccredited

Counselor, Psychotherapist, and Supervisor

With nearly 30 years of experience, I help adults develop the tools, and find the capacity for, understanding and change.

Some of the issues I work with:

Relationships • Self esteem • Depression • Bereavement and loss • Stress and anxiety • Anger Management • Career counselling • Pet Bereavement

People often turn to counselling or psychotherapy in times of distress. But therapy is not just about dealing with crises, or putting out fires, it also offers the opportunity to find your full potential and live a more fulfilling life with better quality relationships.

Together, we will explore feelings, beliefs, thoughts and relevant events from childhood and past experiences in a structured way, safely and in confidence. You will gain insight and awareness into who you are and be able to embark on a journey of personal growth and development.

All couple relationships go through difficult times - it's how we handle those challenges that can make the difference between staying together and splitting up. By learning tools for better communication and developing a heightened awareness of yourself and partner, you have the opportunity for a more rewarding time together.

My therapeutic journey began following my return to England from living and working in Kenya and Rwanda for a number of years. My initial challenge was finding the right therapist. Just as one needs to shop around for a pair of shoes that fit comfortably, so I needed to shop around for a therapist. When I found the right fit, my own therapy allowed me to learn about my patterns of behaviour and how they no longer supported me. My understanding and awareness of myself grew, and with that I was able to make more satisfying choices about how I lived my life. This journey inspired me to begin my own training and for nearly 30 years, I have been passionate about my work helping others seeking the same insight.
